MedicAlert Canada stands with our nation’s frontline and essential workers
Shortly after the first case of COVID-19 was detected in Canada, more than 1 million frontline and essential workers including healthcare employees, educators, retail and hospitality staff had to change how they work to keep themselves and Canadians safe. It’s been a gruelling and unpredictable year for those working in the frontline.
Our first responder partners can’t stress enough how critical it is that frontline workers who have any heath condition -- from allergies and asthma to diabetes, heart disease and mental illness – have a MedicAlert ID and subscription.
Frontline and essential workers offer
To offer our support during this stressful and unprecedented time, we’re offering all frontline and essential workers across Canada a free custom MedicAlert ID
when they register between 1 April – 30 June 2021 for a 1-year subscription. We’re also waiving our registration fee, saving you up $24.

About MedicAlert Canada
No other medical ID service offers the range of benefits that MedicAlert provides:
- If you’re unable to communicate during a medical or health-related emergency, your MedicAlert ID informs first responders and emergency personnel of your medical information.
- Our 24/7 Emergency Hotline relays your key medical information to first responders and emergency personnel.
- Our medical identification service notifies your family of your situation and location in an emergency.
As a registered charity, MedicAlert is both trusted and endorsed by the first responder community. Police officers and paramedics use the ID as a gateway to the MedicAlert Subscriber Health Information Database (SHID) to help them in a health emergency. Our first responder partners know they can trust the information in SHID to be accurate, up-to-date and reviewed regularly. Research shows that the faster first responders have health information that aids them in their work, the better the outcome is for the person in crisis.
